I recently borrowed this game from a friend, and it surprised me, in a good way.

I thought it would be primarily just racing, but it's much more than that.

Storyline - 7.5/10

I didn't even expect a story! It's intriguing enough to keep your interest for long periods of time, and it catches you off guard a lot. I would compare it to Far Cry 3, but based off cars instead of FPS. However, I found it short, and it ends very abruptly.

Driving - 9/10

This isn't a sim, so the driving isn't realistic. But it's fun. Vehicles handle very well, and some are very prone to some oppo action with lots of smoke. Doing burnouts and drifts is lots of fun, and could occupy lots of your time. The city is big enough that you can drive for hours and not get bored. Only bad thing is that the cars are not very adaptable to different terrain, and many races/activities are both dirt and pavement.

Cars/Jalop Cred - 10/10

With 140+ cars, it could be considered small like forza's car list, but it doesn't. There is plenty of cars that are only driveable through the garage, so there is me something to make you feel like your time making money isn't wasted. There is lots of Oppo-bait cars, including but not limited to: Trans-am, Sirocco R plus a rally-spec version, Ford GT, RS6 Avant, GTR33, baja bug, and a Sierra bro truck. There is something for everyone, with muscle, tuners, trucks, exotics, cop cars, industrial vehicles, and even classics.

Here's a little video:

I would recommend this game to everyone.

Film director has been part of the Driver series, and in D:SF, it doesn't disappoint! I created a few movies including this pursuit below!

Car carrier + police rubberband A.I. = flying action!

The AI is stupid but hooning a tour bus and driving under semis make it awesome. Too bad the story is short.

I normally find arcadey driving games to be crap. Driver: SF was the first one I've enjoyed since Need for Speed II. It's pretty fun, all of the movie & TV references are awesome, and the soundtrack is great.

I Redboxed this game for a couple of days and it wasn't bad. Made me think more of Burnout than the older Driver games. I thinking it stranger there were so many new Alfa Romeos driving around San Fransico.

I loved that game. My favorite thing to do was take control of a semi-truck, park it length ways across a highway, watch a massive pileup ensue, and take control of other cars to add to the pileup/see if i could navigate them through. Good times.

I did that for the missions where you had to stop racers, i'd just get a big truck and park it across the road.
